Another week of prep for the BFA Festivals done and these innovative events are really starting to take shape now. The availability of Flyball Foundations and non-sanctioned divisions gives every single member the opporutnity to take take part reagrdless of what stage on the recovery out of covid you are on; still a couple of days to get your entries in if you haven't already done so. Live entertainment, camping, fun activites and flyball from foundation to sub-15 racing, and all generously supported by our new sponsor Akela.

One of the biggest costs associated with these large events is the cost of first aid cover, and I am really proud of all of the committee who have just given up one of what was a very small number of free weekends between now and the festivals to take part in St John's Ambulance first aid training. Your BFA Committee are all now fully qualified St John's first aiders and will be providing free cover for BFA events throughout their time on the committee. I can't thank them all enough for volunteering to take this on, it is not only a massive responibility and yet another draw on their time, but it will save the association literally '000s upon '000s of pounds over the next few years as we won't have to pay external providers to cover our events. The training provided bt St John's was excellent and none of us had laughed so much since before lockdown, especially when someone thought the best response to someone choking was the 'Heineken Manouevre'!! 'ere you are, get this lager down your neck, that'll sort it out' :)

We will be finalising the schedule of events for the Festivals so you will all now what is happening and exactly when later this week, after the final entries are in on Monday 12th July; so watch out for more updates this week.
