AGM 2026 VOTING RESULTS

Please find below the outcome of this years voting on rule change proposals

Results
All 34 proposals were approved. As in previous years, most proposals were submitted by working groups or by members serving on those groups.

Voting Figures
This year’s eligible voting members numbered 2097, of this 381 chose to vote which is a turnout of just 18.8%.

Statistics clearly show that rule changes and amendments are primarily being driven by the Association’s working officials.

The full results can be found in the attached PDF document.

Implementation
Following a review of the results by both the Committee and the Rules Working Party, several of the new and amended rules will have a significant impact on specific areas of the Association and will therefore require corresponding changes to existing processes to support implementation.

To allow this work to be completed, and to provide sufficient time for the
preparation of guidance and implementation documents, the Committee is currently working towards 1 July 2026 as the target date for the new rules to come into effect.

Key Point – Proposal 21
This proposal increases the minimum age at which dogs may compete in foundation racing from 12 months to 15 months.

Members should therefore note that, from 1 July 2026 (subject to confirmation
of the final implementation date), no dog under the age of 15 months will be permitted to compete in foundation racing events.
