Buccaneers, Surrey
The Buccaneers Flyball is one of the original Flyball teams to compete when the British Flyball Association was founded in the early 1990's. Started By Andrew and Liz Payne both experienced agility dog Handlers , The Buccaneers was for many years the team to beat, leading the way in Flyball and setting new records on the way. Andrews dog 'Blue'was the first dog to reach many milestones in the early years of BFA flyball. In February 1999 the 'Ice Blue Moon' award was named after him to recognise his achievement of being the first dog to reach 20,000 points. Blue retired in 2004 after a career spanning over 10 years and becoming the first dog to recieve the Jade award for 35,000 points. We currently train next to Odiham RAF base in Hampshire most Sunday's unless we are competing in a tournament. Contact Derek on 0781 682 2150.

We have been involved in flyball before it became a competition sport. We were given our first box in 1985 to train our dogs for a demonstration as part of Superdogs. We competed in the first NAFA Tournament in our province in 1991. Our teams were originally made up of all Obedience trained dogs. We accept all types of dogs the only criteria is that they are reliable around people and other dogs. We currently have 30 members and approximately 40 dogs, with another half a dozen coming up to the team level.
